Piprama is a liana that grows in South America, South and Southeast Asia, and the Caribbean islands.<\/p>\n
Black, white and green pepper all come from the same plant. The difference comes from the fact that black pepper is the half-ripe seeds cooked and roasted, white pepper is the dried ripe seeds and green pepper is the dried half-ripe seeds.<\/p>\n
Pepper has a very long history, it has been both a means of payment and a sacrificial offering, and today it is probably one of the most common and well-known spices, widely used in all kinds of hot and cold, savoury and even certain sweet dishes.<\/p>\n
Use: As pepper loses its flavour and aroma quite quickly, it is best to add it to foods just before they are cooked; freshly ground black pepper is best.
