Preparation:
1. Sort out the darkened peas,
2. wash 3-4 times,
3. leave in water for 5 hours,
4. pour into a pot with clean water, bring to the boil and simmer for 10 minutes,
5. simmer over low heat for about 1 ¼ hours until the peas are soft.
Make sure the water does not boil out of the pot.
