Pineapple seeds, their oil and fresh young leaves used in cooking. Its seeds have a sweet, aromatic taste. They are commonly used in various edible and sweet dishes. More recently, whole seeds and often freshly ground powder can be added to recipes to limit the evaporation of essential volatile oils.
A well-known herb as well as a medicinal herb. Anise seeds contain 2-4% of essential oil (which gives anise a rather strong aroma) and up to 20% of fat.
It is used in the preparation of essences, liqueurs, medicine, baking and confectionery. Culinary uses are wide - aniseed is usually added ground to dough, sweet and sour sauces, desserts, stews, salads, vegetable or fish soups, purees, also in the preparation of home brew, beer and mead.
Anise tea: 1 teaspoon of seeds, grind, add a quarter of a cup of boiling water and infuse for 10 minutes, strain.
